NEW YORK, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- The FBI on Wednesday issued a wanted poster to help locate two unidentified men accused of taking a bag that contained an explosive allegedly planted by Ahmad Khan Rahami.

The FBI said the men were seen on Manhattan's West 27th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday within the same hour that an improvised explosive device detonated in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood, injuring 29 people.

"The FBI is asking for the public's assistance in locating these two unknown individuals. Closed circuit television recordings indicate that these individuals allegedly located a piece of luggage on the sidewalk, removed an improvised explosive device from the luggage, and then left the vicinity leaving the device behind but taking the luggage," the FBI said in a statement. "The FBI is interested in speaking to these individuals and recovering the luggage."

Rahami was arrested on Monday after an intense manhunt in the New York City metropolitan area. He was captured after a shootout with police in which he was injured in Linden, N.J. Two officers were shot -- one being injured and the other being struck in his Kevlar vest.

Investigators are trying to determine if Rahami, a U.S. citizen originally from Afghanistan, was influenced by or has any connections to international militant groups.

Rahami has been connected to the bombing in Chelsea, a previous bombing also on Saturday that occurred when a bomb exploded -- injuring none -- in New Jersey's Seaside Park and to a bag filled with improvised explosive devices found in near an Elizabeth, N.J., train station.
