SAN FRANCISCO, July 23 (UPI) -- Some 150 homes were evacuated after a wind-whipped wildfire in northern California, possibly sparked by a car crash, raced through more than 6,000 acres and destroyed one building.
Hundreds of firefighters worked overnight Thursday to contain fire by air and land near Napa Valley's Lake Berryessa. By early Thursday, it was just 5 percent contained, threatening about 200 structures. Firefighters said strong winds were driving the blaze that possibly started as a result of a Wednesday afternoon traffic crash.
