Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall arrive in U.S.

WASHINGTON, March 18 (UPI) -- Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will be tourists throughout Washington, D.C. in the coming days, with plans to meet the president and tour national treasures.

The royal couple will kick-off their first full day in the United States Wednesday by spending some time touring the nation's capital and visiting national landmarks, including the National Archives to view historic documents that include the Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Charles will also speak with the heads of major companies to discuss reducing plastic waste. Camilla's plans include taking in a show at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.

In the final leg of their trip, they'll be jetting off to Louisville, where they'll soak in some of horse country and mingle with some charities.

This is their third trip to the states as a couple.
