Poll: Most Americans disapprove of how Obama is handling Islamic State

ATLANTA, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- A new CNN/ORC poll finds 57 percent of Americans don't agree with how President Barack Obama is handling the battle with the Islamic State.

The poll results come after Obama decided to request permission to engage the military in attacks against IS.

Egypt also began bombing IS targets in Libya on Monday after the group released a video of the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians.

The CNN/ORC poll also found 54 percent of Americans disapprove of how Obama is handling terrorism overall, and 60 percent disagree with how he's handling electronic national security. Obama recently created a cybersecurity agency called the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center.
