LAS VEGAS, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- A manhunt is underway for the shooter who killed a mother of four after they argued in an apparent incident of road rage.

Tammy Meyers was giving her 15-year-old daughter a driving lesson on Thursday. As they drove home, they almost collided with another vehicle, which caused a confrontation with several other people in the other car.

The other vehicle followed Meyers home and someone started shooting. Meyers was struck in the head. One of Meyers' sons came out and started firing back at the vehicle.

Meyers, a nurse, died Saturday night after being taken off life support. Her husband, Robert Meyers, gave her red roses for the last time – something he has done every Valentine's Day for the last 25 years.

Police released a statement describing one of the occupants of the other vehicle as a 6-foot-tall white man about 25 years old and weighing about 180 pounds with dirty blonde hair worn in a spiked style and with hazel or blue eyes.

The vehicle carrying the shooter is described as a four-door silver or gray sedan that may be damaged on the front driver's side and may have been hit by bullets.

"She had to lose her life for what? I don't understand it and nobody's answered that question," Robert Meyers told KTNV-TV in Las Vegas. "This was a mother of four. I loved her, and she was a good woman. And she didn't deserve this because all she's ever done is help people."
