WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- On his last day as White House senior advisor, John Podesta said he has one regret -- not exposing the truth about UFOs.
In a nod to the long-running television show The X-Files, Podesta, who has had a longtime fascination with all things extraterrestrial, tweeted using hashtag #thetruthisstilloutthere.
"My biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files," he said.
The tweet came as he listed important moments during his tenure. He said his biggest feat was President Barack Obama's expansion of the Pacific Remote Islands monument, an area of the Pacific that is now off-limits to commercial use.
Podesta, who spent about a year on the job, is reportedly helping Hillary Clinton launch her 2016 campaign.
