By Amy R.Connolly

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- In response to the massive cyber attacks on companies that include Sony Entertainment and health insurer Anthem Inc., Obama will sign an executive order Friday urging companies to share cyber-threat data with each other and the government.

The order, which is only advisory, is aimed at setting the stage for private-sector led "information sharing and analysis organizations" (ISAOs), the White House said.

Obama is set to sign the order at the first day-long conference on cybersecurity at Stanford University in California. The conference will focus on how to bolster cybersecurity for businesses and government and strengthen consumer protection. The CEOs of Google, Yahoo and Facebook will not attend the summit.

Earlier this week, the Obama administration announced the creation of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center to collect and disseminate cyber-threat information.
