BOCA RATON, Fla., Jan. 15 (UPI) -- The FBI raided a Boca Raton, Fla., medical device firm that employs Daniel Porush, the person who inspired Jonah Hill's Donnie Azoff character in The Wolf of Wall Street on Wednesday.

Porush, 57, the executive vice president of Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies Inc., was accused in a lawsuit last year in participating in Medicare fraud. A search warrant was served to the offices on Tuesday for the ongoing investigation.

The raid was carried out by the FBI, Boca Raton police, the Florida Division of Insurance, the IRS and the Department of Homeland Security.

Porush and his wife, Lisa Porush, were seen at the offices hours after the raid began.

President Steve Silverman said the company hasn't "violated any criminal statutes."

Porush became famous after he and Jordan Belfort, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, were sentenced to prison after defrauding $200 million from investors at their brokerage firm.
