WESTOVER, W.Va., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Police in West Virginia are searching for a man suspected of killing four people and injuring one in three separate shootings.
Representatives from the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department said they believe three shooting incidents Monday morning are likely connected.
Jody Lee Hunt, 39, is suspected of opening fire at Doug's Towing, and at locations on Cheat Lake and Sweet Pea Lane. Doug Brady, of Doug's Towing, was shot and taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. His condition was unknown.
The identities of the four dead were not reported.
The Westover Police Department and West Virginia State Police are searching for Hunt, who is believed to have fled in a 2011 black Ford F150 extended cab pickup truck. The truck's license plates have been blacked out, there's an unidentified sticker in the back window and a black tonneau cover over the bed.
Hunt is believed to have worked at or owned J&J Towing & Repair. Anyone who may have spotted Hunt or the truck in question is encouraged to call 911.
Meanwhile, Monongalia County schools were placed on lockdown in response to the shootings.
