FERGUSON, Mo., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Protesters remained active nationwide on Black Friday following the announcement last week of the grand jury's decision not to prosecute police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
In Richmond Heights, Missouri 150 protestors chanted and marched peacefully during Black Friday shopping at the Saint Louis Galleria while police stood by.
Many stores closed their doors as the people marched before officials eventually closed the mall early.
In New York City, protesters held signs that read, "Another killer cop is free" and "Don't Shop" near Macy's department store in Herald Square.
Friday marks the fifth day of protests bringing awareness to the grand jury's decision on November 24.
