George W. Bush says there's 50-50 chance Jeb runs for president

WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Jeb Bush may be undecided on a potential run for the White House in 2016, but his brother isn't. "I'm all in for him," former President George W. Bush said Sunday during his appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation."

"I know that he's wrestling with the decision," Bush told host Bob Schieffer. "I'd give it a toss-up."

Jeb Bush has previously stated that the support and happiness of his family would be central to his decision of whether to run or not. But older brother, Geoge W. Bush, said winning the White House would be well worth any potential sacrifices, familial or otherwise.

"One of the lessons you learn from George H. W. Bush is that you can go into politics and still be a good father," Bush said. "In other words, the priorities of your life don't have to be compromised."

Bush's appearance on CBS was in part to promote his new book 41 -- a so-called love letter to his father. But he made sure to offer plenty of praise for and encouragement to his younger brother.

"I know this about Jeb: He is not afraid to succeed," Bush said. "In other words, I think he knows he could do the job. And nor is he afraid to fail."
