Tom Brokaw's phone goes off in middle of broadcast

"Could that be me?" he said when his phone went off. "No, I’m afraid it is… the alarm goes off."

WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Veteran journalist Tom Brokaw was discussing 2014 Midterm election results on MSNBC Tuesday when his phone went off mid broadcast.

He was speaking to Rachel Maddow when a loud sound interrupted the broadcast. When he realized it was his cellphone he turned off the ring and shrugged it off with some humor.

"Yes, I will bring home the milk... don't worry about it," he said into the phone. "And I'll feed the dog in the morning, it's going to be OK. Just sleep in."
