WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Actor and economist Ben Stein was on Fox News when he said President Barack Obama was the most racist president in American history.
Stein, well known for his monotone repetition of the name "Bueller," said the president and Democrats are purposefully trying to separate races to cull votes.
What the White House is trying to do is racialize all politics and they're especially trying to tell the African-American voter that the GOP is against letting them have a chance at a good life in this economy, and that's just a complete lie ... I watch with fascination -- with incredible fascination -- all the stories about how the Democratic politicians, especially Hillary, are trying to whip up the African-American vote and say, 'Oh, the Republicans have policies against black people in terms of the economy.' But there are no such policies.
"He is purposely trying to use race to divide Americans," Stein told Fox News. "The idea that the Republicans are making life difficult for black people is just nonsense, just absolute nonsense."
Conservative radio host Alex Jones backed Stein on his statement, saying it was unfair to pin slavery on the founding fathers because they didn't start the practice.
"All the bad things that our Founding Fathers did was done in their time," said Jones. "When in Africa and in Asia and in the Middle East, no one was saying slavery is wrong. Everybody had slaves."
He went on to say that the Democrats have energized African Americans to attack white people. His evidence was anecdotal based from a time he went to an upscale restaurant in a "gentrified area" when someone "tried to mug us."
"And it was a black guy doing it to us," said Jones. "And one of my crew members went out Saturday, and almost got mugged downtown. People pulled out knives. 'We're going to kill you whitey.'"
It is predicted the Democrats will have a tough battle for the Senate in the midterm elections and are relying heavily on the African-American demographic.
