Mary Landrieu tells keg-stand critics to 'get a life'

Sen. Mary Landrieu told her critics helping someone with their keg stand is how Louisianans roll.

BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., told the people criticizing her over helping a Louisiana State University football fan perform a keg stand to "get a life."

She was exchanging endorsements with Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., when a reporter asked her about the criticisms of the viral photo op.

"They need to get a sense of humor, and they need to get a life -- it's just the way we roll," she said.

Landrieu has a tough race this year in the red state. The incident happened while she was campaigning on campus trying to rally support in the important district of Baton Rouge.
