NEW YORK, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- New York firefighters responding to a burning apartment early Tuesday found the bodies of a Korean immigrant couple and their teenage son.
Police believe Joon Lee, 54, his wife, Sung, 53, and their son, Brian, 16, were killed in a murder suicide, City Councilman Peter Koo told the New York Post.
The bodies were found in the family's cooperative apartment on the sixth floor of a high-rise building in the Flushing neighborhood in Queens. The one-alarm fire was reported just before 5 a.m. and extinguished within half an hour.
Brian Lee was a student at Brooklyn Tech High School, a friend told the Post, crying as he described the family.
