NEWARK, Del., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Two Delaware teenagers were charged with attacking a mentally disabled man after their parents complained to police about nasty phone calls.

A video of the alleged assault went viral after a 16-year-old girl reposted it to Instagram under #TheBullyProject. The boys, aged 13 and 14, were arrested Saturday and released on $2,500 bail.

Attacks on the victim, a 26-year-old identified only by his first name, Karon, is featured in several videos posted on line. One appeared to have been made just a few days ago.

Karon's mother said her son has Williams syndrome and has the intellectual capacity of a 7-year-old. Mother and son live in Newark, Del.

"Rage, anger -- because of the situation, with him being mentally disabled, he doesn't do anything to anyone but be kind," she told WPVI, describing her reaction to seeing her son in the videos being punched and shoved.

New Castle County police said more arrests are likely.

"We've received a number of telephone calls, 911 calls as well as calls to officers people know," said Tracey Duffy, a member of the police force.

Angeliz Marrero, who also lives in New Castle County, said she is grateful for the response to her reposting of the video.
