MEXICO CITY, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday she would "probably" decide next year on whether or not to make another run for the White House in 2016.

She made those comments during a fundraiser in Mexico City, where she attended an annual charity event hosted by billionaire Carlos Slim.

"I am going to be making a decision...probably after the first of the year about whether I'm going to run again or not."

Clinton spent most of the summer promoting her book "Hard Choices" a memoir about her years as Secretary of State.

Next weekend she is heading to Iowa--marking the first time she has been in the state since her loss to then Senator Barack Obama in 2008.

Clinton has said before she is unlikely to make a decision about running in 2016 before the end of this year.
