LAS VEGAS, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- The son of Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher whose standoff with the Bureau of Land Management over grazing fees gained national attention, has been arrested.
Clark County authorities arrested 34-year-old Cliven Lance Bundy on Monday on an outstanding warrant for criminal contempt and probation violation.
The warrant for Bundy's arrest was issued in July after he failed to appear at a hearing to determine the required status of his enrollment in a drug diversion program.
Bundy was initially sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to felony weapons and burglary charges in 2013.
If convicted, Bundy faces up to eight years in prison.
