WASHINGTON, July 28 (UPI) -- Former governor of Alaska and right-wing media darling Sarah Palin announced Sunday she plans to launch a subscription-based news site. In a video posted to her official YouTube account, Palin says her site will feature news, video chats and extended features about her speeches, political career and family life.

"Are you tired of the media filters. Well, I am. I always have been. So we're gonna do something about it. We'll talk about the issues that the mainstream media won't talk about."
Palin has often been at odds with what she and like-minded conservatives view as the mainstream media's progressive tone, going back 2008 when her every step as the Republican vice presidential nominee was chronicled and scrutinized.
"This will be OUR channel, for you and for me, and we'll all get to call it like it is," wrote Palin on Facebook.
In a separate post to promote the venture, Palin took direct aim the Washington Post, writing:
"Whereas [the Post] once doggedly covered the 18.5 minute gap in Nixon's White House communications, you've virtually ignored the Obama Administration's 1.2 million minutes of deleted communications by just one of the agencies under Obama's executive branch."
A subscription to SarahPalinChannel.com will cost $9.95 a month or $99.95 per year.
