BALTIMORE, July 25 (UPI) -- A Florida man wanted for violating probation is behind bars after taunting local police in the comments section of his own mugshot after authorities posted it to Facebook.
"Yo all yall people tagging my hole family bout my [business] stay ... outta [my business]," wrote Roger Ireland when his photograph was posted to Anne Arundel County Police's Facebook page as part of their ongoing #WantedWednesdays campaign. Those who recognized Ireland began tagging him or his family to assist police.
"Y'all will never catch me," Ireland brazenly taunted.
On Thursday, after the police received tips about about Ireland's whereabouts, the 28-year-old was arrested in South Baltimore.
"Social Media is a great tool for law enforcement and we appreciate our Social Media Sleuths," wrote Police Chief Kevin Davis on Facebook.
"Community involvement is paramount to law enforcement's success and the amount of tips that we receive daily on social media shows how much ownership citizens are taking in their own communities."
As of Friday, three of the five individuals featured on July 23's #WantedWednesday have been caught.
