MAGEE, Miss., July 11 (UPI) -- A Mississippi man has been charged with second-degree murder after he allegedly shoved a cellophane bag containing a sandwich down his nursing home roommate's throat.

Jerrell Eubanks, 63, allegedly killed his 83-year-old roommate, William Park, at the Hillcrest Nursing Center in Magee.

"I don't know if he did it on purpose or not, but they said he put a sandwich in his mouth and killed him," the victim's daughter, Betty Ann Park, told WAPT. "Mama told me she went to check on daddy and she told the nurse he was hurting, and when they came back to find him, they found him dead."

Eubanks has been charged with second degree murder.

"I told them this morning that I want him to pay for it," Park said.

If he is found guilty, Eubanks could be locked up for life.
