WASHINGTON, June 24 (UPI) -- An intern fainted during a televised press conference in the White House briefing room on Tuesday.

The woman was standing against the wall during new Press Secretary Josh Earnest's second-ever press conference, when she fainted during the final question of the hour-long briefing.

According to a pool report, it was the woman's first day on the job.

Earnest ended the briefing when he saw the incident, while Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz brought the intern a bottle of water.

Last October, a pregnant woman fainted during one of President Barack Obama's speeches on the Affordable Care Act.

"This is what happens when I talk too long," Obama joked, after catching the woman mid-fall.
