Bush turned 89 Sunday.

Sue Doliner, vice president of development for Maine Medical Center, said the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital wanted to honor her with a video card.

"The Bushes have been continuously making a difference for our young people and the patients and staff of BBCH and MMC want to wish Mrs. Bush the happiest of birthdays," Doliner told WCSH-TV in Portland.

Bush and her husband, who turns 90 on Thursday, spend their winters in Texas and their summers at the family compound in Kennebunkport on the Maine coast between Portland and Portsmouth, N.H. They married in 1945 and have five surviving children, including another president, George W. Bush, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, a possible presidential candidate in 2016.
