VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., June 7 (UPI) -- Law enforcement officials said they arrested a man suspected of stabbing a member of the U.S. Navy on Friday near the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Wilbur Harwell was arrested without incident in Virginia Beach, about 20 miles east of where the stabbing took place.

The medical center was put on lockdown after the incident in which Harwell allegedly stabbed Petty Officer 2nd Class Justin Powell repeatedly due to an altercation.
A manhunt was launched to apprehend Harwell, and medical personnel and patients were unable to enter or leave the medical center.
Capt. Michael "Jake" Johannson said Powell was in critical condition after having surgery.
