WITCHITA FALLS, Texas, June 6 (UPI) -- Officials in Texas have confirmed that two people killed in a head-on collision Wednesday were in fact husband and wife.

At roughly 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nicolas Cruz was approaching the crest of a hill while traveling northbound on a narrow country road while Kristina Muniz Cruz was approaching the same crest headed south. The two collided into each other on the unlined road and were pronounced dead at the scene at 10:19 a.m.
