WASHINGTON, May 20 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama paid an unexpected visit to a group of Little Leaguers in Washington, D.C., on Monday, ahead of his trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame on Thursday.
The Tigers were playing the Royals in a Northwest Washington Little League game -- the 10 to 12-year-old division -- when the president's motorcade rolled through Friendship Park on its way to a fundraiser.
