WASHINGTON, April 28 (UPI) -- A cleverly raunchy web ad produced by John Boehner's conservative challenger J.D. Winteregg has cost him his teaching job.

Winteregg, 32, has lost his position as an adjunct French instructor at Cedarville University, a small Christian school 25 miles east of Dayton, Ohio, over a viral attack ad that parodies a Cialis erectile dysfunction medication commercial.

The video, "When the Moment is Right," was warmly received by a tea party wing of the GOP that has been deeply critical of Boehner's tenure as Speaker, accusing him of not going far enough to stymie President Barack Obama or even stand up to the more moderate members of his own party. It casts Boehner as a Washington insider who has gone soft on his values after too much time in D.C., and even pokes fun at the speaker's last name and his notoriously bold tan.

A Cedarville University spokesman confirmed Winteregg's termination.

"Cedarville University does not engage in partisan politics and holds a high regard for displaying Christian values in the community," said Cedarville public relations director Mark Weinstein, in an emailed statement. "Mr. Winteregg in his recent political campaign video did not represent the views or values of Cedarville University."

The primary election pitting Winteregg against Boehner is scheduled for May 6. Boehner, who became speaker in 2011, has represented the Ohio 8th since 1991.

Full text of the ad:

Voiceover: "You make a great team. It's been that way since the day you met. But your electile dysfunction? It could be a question of blood flow."

"Sometimes when a politician has been in DC too long, it goes to his head, and he just can't seem to get the job done.

"Used on a daily basis, Winteregg in Congress will help you every time the moment is right to have your voice heard at the federal level. When using Winteregg, it's important to note that the borders will be secured, Second Amendment rights protected, Obamacare and Planned Parenthood will be defunded, and common sense will be used in solving the nation's problems.

"Other signs of electile dysfunction may include extreme skin discoloration, the inability to punch oneself out of a wet paper bag, or maintain a spine in the face of liberal opposition... smoking, and golf.

"If you have a Boehner lasting longer than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention. Winteregg, because Boehner shouldn't count his chickens before they hatch."

Boehner: "It's boner."

Winteregg: "I'm J.D. Winteregg, and I approve this message. But I don't golf."

Full statement from Cedarville University:

"J.D.Winteregg has been an adjunct professor of French for the past three years. He instructed one online class each semester but last week concluded his teaching responsibilities. He is not scheduled to teach any future classes at Cedarville University.
