SAN FRANCISCO, April 8 (UPI) -- Pundits and pollsters have made a study of Hillary Clinton's potential 2016 presidential candidacy since she stepped down from secretary of state last year. But the 66-year-old said Tuesday that she is still considering the opportunity -- and it'll be a while before we know what she's decided.

"I am thinking about it," she told the audience at a Marketo Inc. conference in San Francisco. "But I am going to continue to think about it for a while."

"The hard questions aren't do you want to be president, or can you win," she said. "The hard question is why. Why would you want to do this and what would you offer that could make a difference."

Clinton added that she is "actually enjoying" her life as a retired stateswoman.

"I’m actually having fun doing ordinary things like seeing my friends and going on long walks and playing with our dogs."

Clinton told Barbara Walters last December that she would make her final decision in 2014.
