The military is investigating a U.S. Marine who, while on President Obama's security detail, passed his security badge around a bar during a night of excessive drinking.

In addition to drunkenly passing around his security badge -- a major breach of security protocol -- U.S. Marine Korey Nathan Pritchett also took a photo of himself with a young woman who is holding up his badge to the camera. Pritchett was also reportedly heard bragging about being a "bullet catcher" for the president. Pritchett was drinking until 6:30 a.m.

Members of the president's security detail are allowed to drink while traveling, but they must quit drinking 10 hours before they report to duty.

"Whether you are a Marine stateside or working for the State Department, we expect nothing less than total professionalism -- on and off duty. When you are on jobs of a sensitive nature, and this is one of them, that's definitely frowned upon. We take this very seriously," said U.S. Marine Corp. Capt. Eric Flanagan.

Pritchett normally works as a security guard in Montenegro and was on temporary assignment to Obama's security detail.
