A woman asked ATLAH Worldwide Missionary Church to stone her after she read on their sign, "Jesus would stone homos. Harlem is a homo free zone."
Jennifer Louise Lopez saw this sign and decided that since she was a lesbian, they must mean her, so she walked up to the church.
"Hey there. How's it going? I saw your sign," she said to the person who answered. "I'm here for my stoning. I'm a lesbian. You guys are going to stone me?"
The man dismissed her and said he didn't "have any stones" and to come back tomorrow. Lopez didn't come back the next day but still held her disgust at the hateful sign. Lopez had actually walked past the sign without noticing it but later saw a photo of it on her Facebook feed and realized it was the church in her neighborhood. When she realized it was there, she walked up to the church and filmed her confrontation.

Lopez is a member of the United Methodist church and believes this kind of belief is against her religion and against Christianity. She is an LGBT activist and is planning a protest at the church on Saturday including a kiss-a-thon where same-sex couples kiss in front of the church.
The church is run by Dr. James D. Manning and the church has posted several homophobic signs. One said, "Obama has released the homo demons on the black man. Look out black woman. A white homo may take your man."
Lopez says, "Transgender people, lesbians, and bisexual people all deserve to live freely and I identify as all."
