A 29-year-old Californian surfer, who says he uses food stamps to buy lobster, turned down help from Fox News host Sean Hannity to find a job.
Jason Greenslate first appeared on Fox News in August when he explained how he uses his $200 a month in food stamps.
Cameras followed Greenslate as he bought lobster and sushi at a gourmet grocery store using his food stamps.
“All paid for by our wonderful tax dollars,” he said at the time. “This is the way I want to live and I don’t really see anything changing. It’s free food; it’s awesome.”
Greenslate doesn't have a paying job, but says he considers his band practice a job.
In an appearance on Hannity's show, the host asked if Greenslate would accept an $80,000 per year job driving a truck.
"No," Greenslate said.
"I want to thank the United States of America, and the situation -- the way things are set up," he said of the welfare benefits he receives.
