Passengers on US Airways Flight 1702 were evacuated Thursday when their plane crash-landed shortly after takeoff from Philadelphia Airport.

Though their are mixed reports as to the source of the mechanical malfunction -- either it was the nose gear or a blown tire -- there were no reports of serious injuries.

"All customers and crew have safely evacuated," US Airways rep Todd Lehmacher said in a statement. "Emergency crews are on scene. Passengers are in the process of being transported to the terminal."

Philadelphia Airport grounded all planes "until further notice."

Passengers immediately took to social media to share photos of the plane and send messages to loved ones. "Plane just crashed. But we are ok," Dennis Fee wrote on Facebook.
