Police arrested Phillip Young after his son was found with heroin at a daycare center.

Police said Tuesday that employees at Michael's Energy Factory, a daycare center in Paterson, N.J., found 48 packets of heroin in the jacket of a 2-year-old boy.

Authorities arrested the child's father, Phillip Young, who brought the boy to the center on Monday morning. They charged him with endangering the welfare of a child.

Though police said there was no indication that any of the children had ingested or touched the heroin, one parent said they hadn't been told of the incident.

"My daughter sees something on the floor, puts it in her mouth thinking it's candy -- same thing could have happened here," Dulce Ibanez told NBC New York.
