NEW YORK, March 11 (UPI) -- A New Jersey woman has been charged with manslaughter for performing illegal cosmetic surgery that left her "patient" dead, police said.

Tamira Mobley, 28, of Wood-Ridge, N.J., was charged Monday, the New York Daily News reported. Police in New York have charged her with felony assault and manslaughter.

Tamara Blaine, who lived in the borough of Queens, died in July 2013 at a Manhattan hospital. She was found unconscious at a hotel.

A medical examiner ruled Blaine's death a homicide in October. Investigators say Blaine had a seizure after Mobley injected silicone in her buttocks to build them up.
