WASHINGTON, March 9 (UPI) -- Sarah Palin brought a crowd of like-minded conservatives to their feet at the close of this year's Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday -- with some unwitting help from Dr. Seuss.

The former vice presidential candidate capped off the 3-day conference by telling the audience that she admired the work of Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican who read Green Eggs and Ham during an Obamacare filibuster last year.

"I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam," Palin said to sustained cheers from the audience. "I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals. I do not like their crony deals. I do not like this spying, man. I do not like 'Oh yes we can.'"

"I do not like this spending spree. We're smart we know there's nothing free," she continued. "I do not like reporters' smug replies when I complain about their lies."

"I do not like this kind of hope, and we won't take it - nope, nope, nope."

Palin's speech prompted some in the crowd to shout, "Run, Sarah, run!" But the former Alaska governor, whose Sportsman Channel show Amazing America premieres next month, only joked back, "I should. I didn't get to run this morning. I was so busy, man."
