WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Activists secretly recorded inside the Supreme Court Wednesday during oral arguments on a patent case, and leaked the unique video online.
The video starts pointing toward the justices, where one can possibly make out Justices Thomas and Kagan, and possibly Chief Justice Roberts -- the video is not the highest quality. It then pans to an activist who stands to speak in the court.
"I rise on behalf of the vast majority of the American people," says the activist, "who believe that money is not speech, corporations are not people. And our democracy should not be for sale to the highest bidder. Overturn Citizens United. Keep the cap in McCutcheon. The people demand democracy."
The activist was the removed by security personnel. The videographer was left unnamed for obvious reasons as video is strictly prohibited in the Court. This is reportedly the first footage of the Supreme Court in history.
