Two taken into custody in investigation of missing S.C. woman

CONWAY, S.C., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Two people were taken into custody Friday in the disappearance of a Horry County, S.C., woman who has not been seen since Dec. 17, police said.

A search warrant was executed at the home of Sidney and Tammy Caison Moorer, police Lt. Robert Kegler said. The two were taken into custody, although no charges have been filed.

"We are here because of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Heather Elvis," Kegler said.

Elvis, 20, was last seen Dec. 17 and last heard from in a telephone call Dec. 18. She was reported missing when her car was found at a boat landing Dec. 19, the (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) Sun News reported Friday.
