NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Jury deliberations in former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin's corruption trial were delayed until Wednesday, a court official said Tuesday, citing a juror problem.

She did not disclose the nature of the problem, but deliberations were on hold Tuesday morning because one juror did not arrive on time, the (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported.

Nagin, mayor when the city was struck by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, is charged with 21 corruption counts stemming from alleged acceptance of bribes, in the form of cash, travels services and building material, in exchange for millions of dollars of municipal construction work.
