CHICAGO, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley was released after eight days in the hospital for an undisclosed illness, his spokeswoman said.
Daley experienced stroke-like symptoms Jan. 31 while on a flight to Chicago from Arizona and was admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital's intensive-care unit.
He was released Saturday the Chicago Tribune reported.
Information about Daley's hospital stay was expected to be released later in the weekend, his longtime spokeswoman, Jacquelyn Heard said.
A source told the Chicago Sun-Times Daley had difficulty with his vision and speech.
