COLUMBIA, Md., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- The suspect in the shooting death of two people at a Maryland shopping mall was identified Sunday as a teen who lived in the same city as one of the victims.

Howard County police said Sunday the suspect who allegedly killed two store employees and then himself was Darion Marcus Aguilar, 19, of College Park -- which was also the home of 21-year-old Brianna Benlolo.

She was gunned down Saturday, along with co-worker Tyler Johnson, 25, of Ellicott City, Md., at a skateboarding store at the Mall in Columbia.

Benlolo was described on her Facebook page as a native of Coco Beach, Fla., who had started working at the store in November, the New York Times said.

Police have declined to discuss a motive for the shotgun slayings but a law enforcement source told ABC News Sunday a working theory was that Aguilar had been jilted by Benlolo and responded with a deadly fit of jealousy.

"We have no knowledge of that yet," Police Chief Bill McMahon said when asked about the possible domestic dispute motive. "The Howard County police department is investigating the shooting incident and do not know yet what caused the shooting incident."

The gunfire sent mall customers and employees scrambling for safety. Five people were injured, including one person injured by gunfire and four who were hurt while fleeing.

McMahon said Aguilar was in possession of two homemade explosive devices during the shooting. The crude devices were apparently crafted from fireworks.
