U.S. Supreme Court rejects appeals of two on Oklahoma's death row

WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Supreme Court rejected the final appeals Monday of Charles Frederick Warren and Clayton Lockett, two men on Oklahoma's death row.

The appeals were rejected without comment, the (Oklahoma City) Oklahoman noted.

Warren received the death penalty in 2003 after he was convicted of killing Adriana Waller, the 11-month-old daughter of Warren's girlfriend. He was also given a separate 75-year prison term for raping the child.

Lockett was sentenced to death for his role in the 1999 killing of Stephanie Michelle Neiman.
