MILWAUKEE, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A runway at Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport has reopened after a Delta plane was damaged on landing, officials said.
No one was injured as Delta Flight 2504 from Minneapolis made a hard landing at the airport around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

The plane experienced mechanical problems as it landed, said Airport spokeswoman Patricia Rowe.
Michael Hunt, a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel sports columnist, was on the plane and said passengers were shuttled from the plane to the airport.
"It was a tough landing. The pilot said the brakes locked and it blew two tires," Hunt said.
The airport's north-south runway was shut down until about 5:45 p.m.
