WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- At a White House meeting Tuesday, U.S. President Barack Obama told Netflix's top executive, Reed Hastings, he's a fan of the political drama "House of Cards."

Obama told Hastings, whose Internet rental and streaming service produced the Emmy-nominated show, he had hoped to get an advance screening of the highly anticipated second season, Politico reported.

Obama also joked he admired the show's main character, the cold and sometimes vicious congressional leader Frank Underwood, portrayed by Kevin Spacey.

"I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient," Obama quipped during the public portion of a meeting held with technology company chief executive officers. "This guy's getting a lot of stuff done."
