The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer said police were called to the school about 2 p.m. after students reported the unidentified student had shown them the stun gun.

The child did not threaten to use it and no one was injured, police said.

School district spokeswoman Angee Shaker said the district wouldn't comment on what specific punishment the child would receive, but she confirmed he had violated the district's zero-tolerance policy on bringing weapons to school. Violation of the policy includes an automatic suspension.
