BOSTON, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Americans age 18-to-29 disapprove of President Barack Obama, Congress and the Affordable Care act, a poll released Wednesday found.

Support among so-called millennials -- those born after 1980 -- was a major factor in Obama's 2012 re-election but only 41 percent said they currently approve of the president's job performance, a poll conducted by Harvard's Institute of Politics found.

Another 56 percent said they do not approve of the president's signature healthcare overhaul, the Affordable Care Act and fewer than three-in-10 said they would definitely or probably sign up for a health insurance plan on a government exchange when they are made available, the IOP poll found.

A majority of millennials, 52 percent, said they would recall every member of Congress if it were possible.

They split more evenly when asked whether the same should happen to the president -- 47 percent said they would recall him, 46 percent said they would not.

The poll of 2,089 people ages 18-29 was conducted Oct. 30 to Nov. 11. It has a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.
