The suspects got into a Pontiac Sunfire and attempted to drive away while one of the officers was partially caught in the vehicle, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The officer was dragged by the vehicle until another officer fired shots, injuring the driver in the shoulder. The injured officer hurt his shoulder, and both he and the injured suspect were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Sun-Times said.

The injured suspect and two other men were arrested. A third suspect was inside the department store during the confrontation with police.
