LEITH, N.D., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Two white supremacists were being held without bond after police said the men terrorized residents of a tiny North Dakota town.
Craig Cobb and Kynan Dutton allegedly approached residents of the town of Leith with loaded firearms, The Forum in Fargo, N.D., reported Monday.
Cobb, 62, and Dutton, 29, could face minimum mandatory sentences of two years in prison because five of the seven charges against them involved firearms.
Grant County Assistant State's Attorney Todd Schwarz argued Cobb and Dutton were flight risks and a threat to the community when he requested they be held without bond.
Cobb has bought property in the town in hopes of attracting more white supremacists and taking over the town government. Leith, a town of about 20 people, is about 75 miles southwest of Bismarck.
The men have posted signs with racial slurs and Cobb flies Nazi flags over his property, the Bismarck Tribune reported.
Dutton was out on bond on a disorderly conduct charge in Leith when he was arrested.
"Because of the many violences (sic) and harassments against we (sic) and the children, we have commenced armed patrols of Leith," Cobb said in an email to the Tribune before his arrest.
Cobb texted later he has plans to name some of his property the "Adolph Hitler Pvt. Park of Leith."
