Denver airport has most healthful food options

DENVER, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Denver International Airport has the most options for healthy airport eating, a survey conducted by an organization of healthcare professionals found.

The survey, conducted by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, found 86 percent of the Denver airport's restaurants serve "at least one cholesterol-free, plant-based entree," USA Today reported.

Overall, 76 percent of restaurants in 18 of the nation's busiest airports serve a healthy option, the poll found.

"We're finding more and more people continue to opt for healthful plant-based options," says Susan Levin, PCRM director of nutrition education. "Everyone wants to maximize their health, beat the flu and be in a better mood -- and they realize their diet can help make all of this happen."
