One arrested in connection with stolen FBI weapons in Massachusetts

ANDOVER, Mass., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A juvenile is in custody following the theft of two high-powered weapons from an FBI SWAT vehicle, Andover, Mass., police confirmed Friday.

Police said fingerprints on a car that was broken into matched those in a national database and those on the SWAT vehicle.

The firearms were recovered and the unidentified 16-year-old suspect was arrested by the Andover Police Department on two charges of larceny and two counts of breaking and entering, New England Cable News reported Friday.

No information about a $20,000 reward, offered for assistance in recovering the weapons, will be released, because doing so would have a detrimental effect on future cooperation with the public, the FBI said.
