DETROIT, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Three people were killed and seven wounded in a shooting on Detroit's northeast side, police confirmed.
Police said the shooting occurred Wednesday evening when two vehicles pulled up to a barber shop and opened fire, WWJ-TV, Detroit, reported.

"Two vehicles were involved in a shootout," Detroit police spokesperson Kelly Miner said. "Someone shot into the building and that's when people rushed out of the building and were running into other area businesses for cover."
A witness said he was riding his bicycle when he heard what sounded like 10- to 15 seconds of gunfire.
Two victims died at the scene and the third died at an area hospital, police said.
